Babaylan Bay is the passion project of Victoria Saunders (AKA VictoryGoth on this accursed magical land called the internet). Victoria is a bi trans woman from Reno, Nevada who uses comics to explore her struggles with identity, self-discovery, and mental health—and also because drawing cartoons is fun! As both a Zillenial and a Filipino-American hapa, she has always felt a sense of belonging to two distinct cultures and now channels this duality into her work. Her distinctive art and storytelling style was shaped by the 2000s and 2010s cartoons she grew up with and the anime and manga that surged in popularity during that era.

As a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Victoria brings authenticity, empathy and inclusivity to every story she creates. When she’s not drawing or writing, she hangs out with her cute wife and three cats.
